Best Sandals Resorts For A Honeymoon In 2025

    1. Sandals Grande St. Lucian

    GROS-ISLET, SAINT LUCIA

    Sandals Grande St Lucian Resort

Known for its postcard-perfect views, Sandals Grande St. Lucian offers breathtaking scenery with the famous Pitons Mountains nearby.

I love this resort because it’s located on a private peninsula that surrounds Rodney Bay with some of the calmest waters around. This makes it an ideal spot to soak up the sun at the mile long Pigeon Island Beach and explore two additional beaches just inside the Pigeon Island National Park.

Of course, no all-inclusive honeymoon would be complete without indulging in all the luxurious amenities. From world-class dining at 12 specialty restaurants to motorized water sports and scuba diving, there’s no shortage of activities. Don’t forget the free greens fees to two championship level golf courses nearby either.

But what makes Sandals Grande St. Lucian one of my favorite honeymoon destination is the “Stay At 1 Play At 3” program where you also get full access to the other two adults only St. Lucia Sandals locations for free.  This is like three vacations in one!

When it comes time to choose your accommodations, the Overwater Bungalows or Rondoval Suites create the romantic vibe that we dream of for this special occasion. It’s hard to beat your own slice of tropical paradise with maximum seclusion to spend your first days as a newly wed couple!

"We visited Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our honeymoon at it was the best! All of the staff was so fun and made it an amazing vacation (especially Leona by the main pool). The entertainment is top notch, we absolutely loved the beach party night. We also skied, paddle boarded, and went tubbing. It is the perfect blend of activity and relaxation. I would definitely recommend going here for for about a week to get the full experience!

Why Sandals Grande St. Lucian Is My Favorite Honeymoon Spot:

    • The Beach: Located on a private peninsula with pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters that create a secluded Caribbean escape for romantic moments and unforgettable sunsets.
    • Natural Beauty: The stunning Piton Mountains and rolling tropical rainforest make St. Lucia a one of a kind backdrop that is truly a sight to behold.
    • Amazing Dining Options: With 12 gourmet restaurants, you can enjoy a variety of flavors from around the world without leaving the resort. Remember you get 27 total restaurants when including the 2 other nearby Sandals Resorts!
    • Luxury Accommodations: I personally love the over-the-water bungalows here that offer direct ocean access, glass floor panels, and 24 hour butler service, but there are plenty of room options at all price levels.
    • Relaxation and Spa: The Red Lane Spa adds a romantic touch with our couples massage.  I highly recommend the Tropical Paradise Couple Massage on the beach.
    • Endless Activities: With offshore dives like Piton Wall in Soufriere, snorkeling, skiing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and more, you’ll never run out of things to do.  As far as entertainment, the fire and water show at the main pool was an unforgettable spectacle!
    • Local Attractions: Explore the beautiful Soufriere paradise, take a sunset catamaran cruise, or zip-line through the treetops to have some fun outside of the resort grounds.
    • Golf Greens Fees: Free greens fees and transfers are included to the Cap Estate Golf And Country club which is only about 10 minutes away.
    • Rodney Bay: Explore the local culture at Rodney Bay Village, or experience the nightlife or Treasure Bay Casino if you want to spice it up a little.

Key Considerations For A Honeymoon At Sandals Grande St Lucian:

    • Proximity to Airport: The resort is about a 90 drive from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) with complimentary transfers included.  Helicopter transfers to the resort are also available for $200.
    • Visa and Passport Requirements: U.S. and Canadian travelers need a valid passport for the duration of your visit, but no visa is required for stays under six weeks.
    • Extra Costs: While the resort is all-inclusive, some premium excursions, spa treatments, and dining off the resort are not included. I always suggest leaving a little budget for some extras.
    • Safety And Security: St. Lucia is classified as a level one travel advisory by the US State Department, which is the lowest level, and simply means “exercise normal precautions”. I still recommend common sense measures like avoiding isolated areas at night, securing valuables, and avoiding walking alone to ensure a worry-free honeymoon.

    Who it's best for?

Sandals Grande St. Lucian is my favorite overall honeymoon destination for young couples that want the perfect blend of luxury and nature, but for a very reasonable price.

    2. Sandals South Coast

    WHITEHOUSE, JAMAICA

    Sandals South Coast Resort

Sandals South Coast in Jamaica is nestled along a stunning 2 mile white sand beach. Aside from the massive beach, I love this location for honeymoons because it is located in a 500 acre nature preserve so you get maximum tranquility.

Whether you prefer the seclusion of Rondoval Suites with private pool sanctuaries, the convenience of swim-up suites, or the stunning views from the Overwater Bungalows, there are plenty of options to relax near the water

When it comes to gourmet cuisine, Sandals South Coast boasts 9 different restaurants ranging from Italian to authentic Caribbean. My favorite was the Pepper Shrimp at Schooner’s! On top of that, there are 7 exciting bars, including an overwater bar and a swim up bar.

Importantly, Jamaica is one of the quickest Caribbean islands to get to from the US.  So if you’re planning a shorter honeymoon, this is an ideal option. There are actually seven Sandals locations in Jamaica that each offer something different at an affordable price!

Why Sandals South Coast Is My Favorite Honeymoon Spot:

    • Secluded Beaches: Sandals South Coast is all about the pristine coastline. It is an ideal honeymoon destination due to its 2 mile private beach, which makes for perfect romantic walks and sunset views.
    • Over-the-Water Bungalows: We stayed in the Blue Mahoe Overwater Villa, which is a total game changer!  The glass bottom floors and panoramic views of the turquoise water are incredible.  And the 24 hour butler service really takes it to the next level.
    • Affordable Pricing: Rooms here start at around $200 per person per night, which makes it one of the most affordable Sandals. Jamaica in general is going to provide some of the best value out of all the Sandals locations.
    • All-Inclusive Dining: South Coast has 9 restaurants and 7 bars to choose from.  We loved trying a new restaurant each evening, each with a unique menu and atmosphere. For a romantic dinner, make reservations at Eleanor’s in advance.
    • Water Sports & Activities: Unlimited water sports like scuba diving, snorkeling, waterskiing, tubbing, and kayaking are included. We had a blast exploring the colorful marine life together right off the shoreline. (note that not all Sandals offer motorized water sports like skiing, so this was a big plus)
    • Luxurious Spa Treatments: The Red Lane Spa is an excellent way to kick the romance up a notch. I highly recommend a relaxing couples massage with the CBD infused oil 🙂
    • Beautiful Nature Surroundings: The property is extremely secluded in a 500 acre nature preserve. The tropical gardens provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation and unforgettable photos.
    • Nightly Entertainment: The live music and performances provide some excitement without leaving the resort. From themed nights to intimate settings, there’s something for everyone.

Key Considerations For A Honeymoon At Sandals South Coast:

    • Proximity to Airport: The resort is about 90 minutes from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, but transfers are included no matter which room type you get.
    • Visa and Passport Requirements: For those of us coming from the United States, a valid passport is required for the duration of your stay. Visas are not needed for tourist stays under 90 days.
    • Extra Costs: While most amenities are included, some excursions like catamaran cruises or a trip to YS Falls have an additional cost. We liked to take a couple of excursions of the resort to mix it up a little, so I would recommend setting aside a little budget for extras.
    • Safety And Security: Jamaica is classified as a level three travel advisory by the US State Department, which is out of four levels.  That said, the resort itself maintains extremely high security standards and we never felt unsafe, but it’s good to be informed and exercise caution if you want to venture outside the resort.

    Who it's best for?

Sandals South Coast is best for couples on a budget who want a more tranquil honeymoon experience in a lush tropical paradise.

    3. Sandals Saint Vincent

    SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

Sandals Saint Vincent And the Grenadines Resort

The newest of all the Sandals Resorts, Sandals St. Vincent offers an idyllic honeymoon retreat in the heart of the lesser Antilles.

There is a key distinction here. Most Sandals Resorts have undergone a bottom-up renovation, but St. Vincents is brand new.  This means it has perhaps the most innovative restaurant themes, scenic suites, and luxurious finishes of all the Sandals.

Nestled in the middle of a lush mountainous landscape, this resort is perfect for nature lovers looking for tranquility. The intimate private cove beach in Buccament Bay offers a serene spot for leisure and romance.

Some of the standout amenities include stunning two story overwater water bungalow villas and beachfront butler suites.  The resort also features an overwater wedding chapel making it a great destination wedding location.

Excursions around St. Vincent are some of my favorites too.  I highly recommend taking a boat tour out to Tobago Cays to explore the archipelago of beautiful and uninhabited islands. The hike up to the peak of  La Soufrière is also a great outing with amazing views.

Why Sandals St. Vincent Is My Favorite Honeymoon Spot:

    • Stunning Location: Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, Sandals St. Vincent offers an off the beaten path island gem surrounded by natural beauty.
    • Gourmet Dining Options: In my opinion, St. Vincents has some of the best dining options with fresh seafood and produce.  There are 11 restaurants offering an array of options from hand rolled sushi to Caribbean classics, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.
    • Romantic Beachfront: Imagine having your own private white-sand cove beach!  The resort is enclosed by the surrounding mountains and there are no other neighboring resorts so you get it all to yourself.
    • Luxury Accommodations: Our Beachfront Butler Villa featured a private pool and a massive patio with ocean views. But all of the rooms here are exquisite, whether it’s the Swim Up Suites or Overwater Bungalow Villas.  Some of the suites even feature an in room fitness room.
    • Adventure & Exploration: We love hiking through the lush rainforests alongside the winding rivers. But scuba diving and snorkelling here are some of the best in the caribbean.  And since St. Vincent is a volcanic island, you can check out the black sand beaches.

Key Considerations For A Honeymoon At Sandals St. Vincent:

    • Proximity to Airport: The resort is conveniently located only 20 minutes from the Argyle International Airport (SVD) with free transfers included.
    • Visa and Passport Requirements: Travelers from the United States will need a valid passport that does not expire for another six months in order to enter St. Vincent. Visas, on the other hand, are not required for tourist purposes.
    • Power Supply: The plugins at St. Vincent are fitted with both 110v and 220v so you do not need to worry about adaptors.  The resort will provide any adaptors if needed.
    • Safety And Security: St. Vincent And The Grenadines are classified as a level one travel advisory (the lowest level) by the US State Department, which simply means “exercise normal precautions”. I still recommend common sense measures like securing valuables, avoiding isolated areas at night, and avoiding walking alone to ensure a stress-free honeymoon.

    Who it's best for?

Sandals St. Vincent is best for honeymooners that want the newest innovations, best dining, and luxury accommodations in an exotic Caribbean paradise.

    4. Sandals Royal Barbados

    ST LAWRENCE GAP, BARBADOS

Sandals Royal Barbados Resort _ St Lawrence Gap Barbados

If you are looking for the most opulent 5-star resort available, the incredibly posh Sandals Royal Barbados is your place.

Nestled on Dover Beach in St. Lawrence Gap, the crystal clear waters and soft white sand are a jet-setter’s paradise.

There are a lot of innovations that set Royal Barbados apart.  The rooftop pool and glass edged beachfront infinity pool are amongst my favorite pools of all the Sandals.  Additionally, there is a 4 lane bowling alley called “lovers lane”!

Since this is an all suite resort, the accommodations are also quite lavish.  We stayed in the Beachfront Skypool Suite, but the Swim-up Suites are right up there in terms of elegance and privacy.

Remember, you get full access to the neighboring Sandals Barbados with the “Stay At One, Play At Two” program.  You can walk over to the Sandals Barbados since it is right next to the Royal Barbados. This means you have 21 restaurants and 14 bars to choose from in total!

Why Sandals Royal Barbados Is My Favorite Honeymoon Spot:

    • Luxurious Suites: The extravagant suites spare nothing when it comes to setting the romantic mood for a perfect honeymoon. With swim-up options, private Rondoval Villas, and Beachfront Suites, our luxury is taken to a new level.
    • Private Airport Transfers: Get a private airport transfer in a Rolls Royce or BMW!
    • Gourmet Dining: With 21 total restaurants offering a range of cuisines, there is no shortage of options for all moods and dietary restrictions. Unlimited premium spirits are also included!
    • Stunning Beaches: The white sand at Maxwell Beach practically melts between your toes, making them perfect for romantic walks and sunsets.
    • SCUBA Diving:  Some of the best diving in the Caribbean with six wrecks less than 200 meters from shore. There are options for beginners and experts alike with sites like Carlisle Bay, Victors Reef, or High Wire.
    • Relaxing Spa: I highly recommend the Red Lane Spa with their massage cabanas nestled in the tropical gardens. It is a great supplement to the relaxing honeymoon activities.
    • Infinity Pools: I think Royal Barbados has the best pools of all the Sandals. The rooftop infinity pool offers amazing views of the ocean, and the beachfront glass edged infinity pool is tucked right up to the sand just steps from the Caribbean.
    • Water Sports and Activities: From scuba diving to paddleboarding, we are never short of adventures. It’s an exciting way to experience the ocean.

Key Considerations For A Honeymoon At Sandals Royal Barbados:

    • Proximity to Airport: Sandals Royal Barbados is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI). When you stay here you will get a private transfer in a Rolls Royce or BMW.
    • Visa and Passport Requirements: For US travelers, passports need to be valid for at least six months beyond your stay. There are no visas required for tourist visits under 6 months.
    • Price: Not the cheapest, but it is definitely worth it if you want an all out luxury experience. If you want access to all the amenities, but don’t necessarily need a lavish suite, consider staying at Sandals Barbados right next door.
    • Safety Concerns: Barbadoes is classified as a level one travel advisory (the lowest level) by the US State Department, which means to “exercise normal precautions”. That said, I still recommend securing valuables, avoiding isolated areas at night, and walking in groups to ensure a stress-free honeymoon.

    Who it's best for?

Sandals Royal Barbados is known as one of the most opulent all-inclusive resorts around, and for couples that demand 5-star luxury, this is the place for you.

    5. Sandals Grande Antigua

    ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

Sandals Grande Antigua _ St Johns Antigua And Barbuda

Consistently voted one of the worlds most romantic resorts, Sandals Grande Antigua is located on the famous Dickenson Bay along the north coast of the island.

Imagine waking up in a luxurious beachfront suite and gazing into the glowing waters of the Caribbean sea as you are cuddled next to your partner.  It’s hard to describe the beauty of this beach without seeing it first hand!

The layout of this property is unique in that it offers two distinct settings, a secluded Mediterranean village and Caribbean beachfront village.  The beachfront suites offer a front row panoramic view of the ocean, while the Mediterranean Rondovals are secluded on the hillside with their own private pool.

Every corner of this paradise is truly special.  Even the winding paths through the tropical gardens are lined with exotic flowers and palm trees making it perfect for romantic walks or photo backdrops.

Why Sandals Grande Antigua Is My Favorite Honeymoon Spot:

    • Stunning Beachfront: This is definitely one of my favorite beaches (and Antigua’s top beach). The silky-soft white sand and clear turquoise waters are absolutely pristine.
    • Rondoval Villas with Private Pools: Having a secluded space to relax with a private pool adds a touch of exclusivity that is perfect for honeymoons. It feels like your own slice of paradise.
    • Endless Dining Options: With 11 world-class restaurants, there is a different cuisine to choose from every night.  Eleanors is the best option for a romantic dinner overlooking the ocean (make sure to get reservations in advance).
    • Lush Tropical Gardens: The resort grounds are canvased with a beautifully manicured garden oasis and exotic flowers that are perfect for romantic strolls.
    • Fantastic Pools: The resort has 6 pools and 6 whirlpools, including the largest pool in the eastern Caribbean and  swim-up bars.
    • World-Class Spa: The spa facilities here are very nice with a jacuzzi and massage cabanas. I always recommend a couples massage as an ideal way to unwind and reconnect.
    • Exciting Water Sports: Whether you choose to snorkel, scuba dive, kayak or paddle board, there are plenty of activities to stay entertained and active.

Key Considerations For A Honeymoon At Sandals Grande Antigua:

    • Proximity to Airport: The resort is only about 20 minutes by car from V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU) and the airport transfers are included both to and from the airport.
    • Visa and Passport Requirements: For most of us traveling from the U.S., a valid passport for 180 days following your stay is all that’s needed, with no visa required for tourist stays up to six months.
    • Extra Excursions: Island Routes offers a catamaran tour that circumnavigates the island and includes most of Antigua’s hot spots. I would highly recommend taking a day to do this and it costs about $150 per person.
    • Safety And Security: Antigua and Barbuda is classified as a level one travel advisory (the lowest level out of four) by the US State Department, which means to “exercise normal precautions”. That said, I always recommend using common sense to secure valuables, avoid isolated areas at night, and stay in groups to ensure a safe honeymoon experience.

    Who it's best for?

Sandals Grande Antigua is best for couples who want a classically romantic Caribbean honeymoon.  This Sandals is considered one of the most romantic resorts in the world because of it’s picturesque beach and beautiful tropical gardens.

    6. Sandals Grenada

    ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA

Sandals Grenada Resort _ St Georges Grenada

Grenada is known as the “spice island”, so why not set out to spice things up here on your honeymoon!  Sandals Grenada is situated along the exotic Pink Gin Beach on the southeast tip of the island.

Pro Tip: Just slightly east of the resort property is a nice little cove called Lovers Bay Beach. We wandered over there for an afternoon and found it incredibly peaceful and romantic.

This resort features some of the most luxurious and innovative designs of all the Sandals. The swim-up suites and SkyPool Suites are ideal accommodations for heightened romance.

For those seeking adventure, the diving here is, in my opinion, the best in the Caribbean. Exploring Grenada’s vibrant marine life is an unforgettable experience.

I recommended doing the Wonders of Grenada Swim and Snorkeling Cruise to get an up-close view of Grenada’s famous underwater sculpture park, and hit several other beaches and highlights along the way. It is $290 per person, but definitely worth it!

Why Sandals Grenada Is My Favorite Honeymoon Spot:

    • Stunning Accommodations: Our stay at Sandals Grenada was unforgettable thanks to the luxurious rooms with Skypool and beachfront balconies, creating a perfect romantic getaway.
    • Amazing Diving: Vibrant coral reef, tropical fishes, and the underwater sculpture park are staples of Grenada dive sessions. There are also famous wrecks like the Bianca C which is known as the Titanic of the Caribbean, amongst other must-visit sites.
    • Picturesque Beach: The serene Pink Gin Beach with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters is ideal for relaxing days under the sun.
    • Exquisite Dining Options: With 10 diverse restaurant offerings, from local cuisine to international delights, and 6 unique bars, we had a blast without ever leaving the resort.
    • Amazing Beachfront Pool: The beachfront pool is nestled right up to the ocean’s edge with a living room in the middle of it!
    • Water Sports Adventure: We loved the variety of water activities available, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, hobie cats, and scuba diving.

Key Considerations For A Honeymoon At Sandals Grenada:

    • Proximity to Airport: The resort is located just a short 5-minute drive from Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND). This means less travel time and more relaxation on the beach!
    • Visa and Passport Requirements: For US visitors, passports need to be valid for at least six months beyond the departure date, but visas are not required for stays under 90 days.
    • Safety And Security:Grenada is classified as a level one travel advisory (the lowest level of four levels) by the US State Department, which means to “exercise normal precautions”.
    • Distance From The US: Grenada is located relatively far south from the mainland US.  A flight from Miami will take 3 hours and 45 minutes, compared to a 1 hour and 40 minute flight to Montego Bay Jamaica for example.  It’s not a deal breaker, especially since the resort is close to the airport, but something to consider.

    Who it's best for?

Sandals Grenada is ideal for couples who enjoy the idyllic Caribbean paradise but who also enjoy underwater adventures in some of the best diving sites in the world.

    Ways To Enhance The Romance

    Candlelight Dinner

Imagine a private candlelight dinner under the stars with your own personal butler!  There is nothing more romantic that a secluded dinner between you and your partner with the best cuisines that you can get.  If you want to get a candlelight dinner, please make sure to make the reservation in advance as there is a limited number of spots.  The price for a candlelight dinner is only $199, which for me, was an amazing value.

    Spa Treatments

The Red Lane Spa offers a wide range of massages and treatments can really take the relaxation to the next level.  There are a whole host of couples massages that you can enjoy with your loved one in exotic locations.  For example, the Tropical Paradise Couples Massage is about $400 for 60 minutes. You can get this on the beach or in the tropical gardens.   You can look at all of the offerings at your specific resort and check availability ahead of time!

    Private Cabanas

You can rent a curtained private cabana for two by the beach or by the pool.  Each cabana comes with your own cabana concierge to tend to all of your needs throughout the day. This can be a great way to relax in a more secluded environment.

    Tour Adventures

There are plenty of romantic outings to mix it up a little from the resort property if you want. For example, the sunset catamaran cruise is a great way to discover the coastline while relaxing on your own private boat!  There are also several high energy adventures like zip lining that can be great experiences together.  The Island Routes desk at the hotel will be able to arrange any outings you would like.

    Honeymoon Package
