Beaches Turks & Caicos
If you ask around which all inclusive resort in the Caribbean is best for families, it won’t take long until you hear about Beaches Turks And Caicos. We have visited this gorgeous property three times now, and just got back after checking out the latest renovations.
It’s my favorite beach in the Caribbean, and in fact Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice Awards also voted it the best beach in the world!
From floating down the lazy river to tasting fresh seafood steps from the beach, I think it’s definitely worth it. Each village, restaurant, and activity adds something different - but the little touches make it incredibly convenient for families and adults alike.
That said, there’s a lot to know about the resort because it’s rather expansive with 6 different villages and 26 restaurants to choose from. As a certified travel advisor, I’ll lay out my honest experience so you can make an educated decision for yourself.
The Beach
Let’s start with the beach at Turks & Caicos, because it’s perhaps my favorite beach in the entire Caribbean, and that’s saying something! The pristine white sand is soft with no rocks. The water is perfectly calm, warm, and no seaweed.
You can practically walk down the beach as far as you want since it stretches 12 miles along Grace Bay. There are plenty of loungers and I never had difficulties finding a place to relax. It helps if you are out before about 10:00 AM to get a spot to sit. Staff members come by for snacks or drinks, and beach towels are always available.
What I really love about this beach is the entrance gradually eases into the water, so it’s not too steep or has any sudden drop offs. This makes it especially good for children to be able to play.
Additionally, water sports equipment like paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling, and hobie cats are available by the pier at the center of the beach for free. I rented a paddleboard and was able to spot cool tropical fish just a few yards away from the shore.
Because the sand is bright white and the water is relatively shallow, the water glows with a radiant blue that is absolutely beautiful. It’s an idyllic Caribbean setting.
Here’s what to expect for a day on the beach at Beaches Turks & Caicos:
- The Beach: Voted world’s best beach, the soft white sand of Grace Bay melts under your feet. The beach is very peaceful, clean, and not overrun with tourists.
- The Water: The warm Caribbean waters glow shades of turquoise and are very calm. Perfect for water activities with the whole family.
- Activities: Free water sports like kayaking, snorkeling, hobie cats, beach volleyball, paddleboarding, and scuba diving.
- Beach Bars: There are several beach bars at the different villages where you can get tropical cocktails and snacks in a casual atmosphere. The Dive was my personal go-to for grabbing a quick drink right on the beach.
- Lounging: There are plenty of loungers along the beach so it’s not difficult to get a spot to post up during the day. There are more seating options in front of the Key West and Italian Villages. The staff was relatively quick to bring us drinks and snacks too!
Waterpark And Pools
The Pirates Island Waterpark is a massive 45,000 square foot facility with something for all ages. There are three slides that are rather large. The red slide is the tallest, which was my favorite!
That said, there are smaller slides which are perfect for the younger ones. The splash pad with water cannons is also a favorite spot for the kids to have fun and cool off. I personally enjoyed drifting along the lazy river that weaves through the waterpark, under waterfalls, and surrounded by tropical gardens.
In total, Beaches Turks & Caicos has 10 stunning pools and 4 whirlpools spread across the different villages. Each one has its own look and feel, from the new infinity edge pool to the adults only pool with swim-up bars. Importantly, the pools are heated, which is a big perk if you are going in December or January!
Here’s a quick breakdown of the water park and pool options at Beaches Turks & Caicos:
- Waterpark: The Pirates Island Waterpark Includes several water slides of different sizes, a splash deck, surf simulator, and a kiddy pool.
- Lazy River: Float down the lazy river that surrounds the waterpark and enjoy a relaxing trip ride for the whole family.
- Treasure Beach Village Pool: An enormous infinity edge pool overlooking the Caribbean. There’s also a small children’s pool with a slide.
- Italian Village pool: A large family‑friendly pool right in the center of the action. It has a swim up bar by the beach and a whirlpool at the other end.
- French Village Pool: Located back by the waterpark, this pool is more calm and elegant, making it great for lounging.
- Cascade Pool: Features a swim-up bar and a cool cascade rock formation that is located in the Seaside Village by the beach.
- Adult Pools: There’s one adult pool located in the Key West Village and an adult whirlpool located in front of the Seaside Village by the beach.
- Seating: There are a lot of loungers and even private poolside cabanas available around the pools. If you have Butler Service, they will pack you a little cooler with drinks too. Either way, the stay was responsive to come around and take our orders. We didn’t have an issue finding places to sit throughout the day. The larger pools will of course have more seating options.
Which Village Is Best
Beaches Turks & Caicos is a rather large resort property with 6 different villages to choose from. Each village is almost like a micro resort in and of itself. They have a different look and feel with unique offerings. I have stayed in the Italian Village, Seaside Village, and Key West Village, and enjoyed all of them! The good news is that you have access to all of the amenities no matter where you stay.
As a side note, if you are looking for a more romantic setting that is adults-only, I would suggest to check out Sandals Resorts. This is the sister brand of Beaches, and is geared towards couples only.
Here are my takeaways for each of the villages:
- Treasure Beach Village: The highly anticipated Treasure Beach Village opens on March 1st, 2026, but you can make reservations for it already. The village is located on the west side of the property and will feature a sprawling pool, innovative suites like the Crystalsky Reserve Villas that line the beachfront, and even a movie theater! The suites in this new village will generally be Concierge Level and Butler level because it’s designed for a more luxurious experience.
- Caribbean Village: The Caribbean Village is located right behind the Seaside Village. This village will have the least expensive room options of the whole resort. It did feel a little outdated to me, but the rooms are big and it’s centrally located. There are several great restaurants and a large pool with a swim up bar in this village. I recommend staying here if you are on a tighter budget, because you still get access to all the amenities throughout the resort anyway!
- Seaside Village: The Seaside Villa is the smallest in terms of number of rooms, and it can be considered part of the Caribbean Village since they are right next to each other. The rooms here are all Concierge or Butler level suites. As the name suggests, they are very close to the beachfront and most will have at least partial ocean views.
- Italian Village: I like the Italian Village because it’s centrally located and has a nice big pool with lots of activities for families. The Italian design is fantastic with great restaurants like Dino’s Pizzeria or traditional Italian cuisine at Mario’s. Rooms in this village felt very modern. There are a wide variety of Concierge and Butler level rooms available at different prices. Some suites here will accommodate up to 12 people!
- French Village: The French Village is located toward the back of the resort and features Luxury and Concierge level rooms at an affordable price. Because of its location, I would say that this is the most laid back village of all of them. It does have a nice pool with a swim-up bar and a shallow wading pool for the infants. The waterpark is also close to this village so it’s only a minute walk away.
- Key West Village: The Key West Village is located on the east side of the resort property, and is quite large. There are several options for Concierge and Butler Level rooms, especially if you have a large group. The nice thing is that some rooms will have kitchenettes so it feels more like a villa. There’s also an adults only pool that is peaceful if you want an escape from the kids. My favorite restaurant is also located here, Sky, which features an amazing rooftop patio right on the beach. There are not necessarily large pools here or swim up bars, so if you want that, a different village would be more ideal. I would also say that this would be the best option if you are going to Beaches as a couple or a group of adults.
Rooms And Suites Available
Because the Beaches Turks & Caicos is so large, there are 63 different room categories with unique layouts, making it easy to find something for everyone’s needs and budgets. In all, the resort has 858 rooms varying between Luxury Level, Concierge Level, and Butler Level.
Entry rooms in the Luxury Level will start at around $278 per person over 16 years old, per night. Note that children between 2-15 years old start at $61 per night, and infants under 2 years old are free.
This last time we went, we stayed in the Seaside Honeymoon Concierge Villa, which was very nice and had great views of the Caribbean. Ultimately it will depend on your budget and number of people to decide the best accommodations.
That said, all accommodations come with the 5-star luxury experience that Beaches Resorts is famous for. There is something for everyone at each room level.
- Luxury Level: Beaches Luxury level rooms are the entry level rooms that are perfect for those who want 5-star accommodations but on a tighter budget. This room level is the least expensive overall. You still get premium features like a private balcony, modern decor, mini bar with local beer and wine, and free airport transfers. The main differences will be the size of the room and the views will generally be garden views rather than ocean views. If butler service or premium views are not a priority, Luxury Level rooms are the way to go! Note that Luxury Level rooms can accommodate up to 4 people, so if you have a larger group, you will need to get a Concierge or Butler Level room.
- Concierge Level: Moving up to the Concierge Level rooms include all the benefits of the Luxury Level Rooms but with dedicated concierge service, private check-in, and a private lounge. A lot of these rooms will have tropical garden or pool views, but some will have ocean views as well. The biggest difference is they are generally designed to accommodate more people. The French and Italian Villages in particular have Concierge rooms that can fit up to 14 people! Although they are typically more expensive than the Luxury Level rooms, they may actually be cheaper per person depending on the size of your party.
- Butler Elite Level: For those wanting the ultimate in luxury, Butler Elite suites are for you. These suites come with a dedicated butler to wait on your beck and call. You also get a private transfer from the airport as opposed to a shared shuttle. Another perk is you can get exclusive in-room dining, which means you can order food from any restaurant’s menu and have it delivered! Aside from the perks, the suite designs are absolutely top notch with stunning views. The Treasure Beach Village will have some amazing new Butler Suites, like the CrystalSky Reserve Villa that accommodates up to 10 people or the Chairman’s Penthouse Suite! You will complete all of your butler preferences online before even checking in and once you arrive, you get a smartphone to communicate directly with your butler from about 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
Things To Do
The great thing about Beaches Turks & Caicos is there’s so much to do that you don’t need to leave the property your whole vacation. From scuba diving to catamaran rides, the options are endless!
Don’t get me wrong, I love lounging on the beach or hanging out by the pools when staying at Beaches, but it’s nice to have so many activities included.
There are plenty of things to do for everyone, it’s not only for families. Couples and adults will have plenty to do too!
Here are all the activities that are included at Beaches Turks & Caicos:
- Kids Camp: Beaches has the BEST baby sitting services that are supervised by certified nannies. There are three kids camps located around the resort, in Key West Village, Caribbean Village, and Treasure Beach Village. Each program is broken down into different age groups so there is something to entertain children of all ages. The camps operate between 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
- Glass Bottom Boat: Book an outing on the glass bottom boat or the snorkeling cruise. These are free, so they fill up fast. You just need to go to the pier where they have all the rental equipment and sign up the day before the morning of the cruise.
- Sesame Street: Don’t be surprised if you run into a Sesame Street character around the resort. They also have a full parade once a week where you can jump in the conga line if you want! I would also suggest getting the Sesame Street breakfast for the kids which is only $18 per child (under 2 are free) and $14 per adult where you can interact with the favorite characters up close and get some fun photos while enjoying a tasty breakfast.
- Scuba Diving: Join the PADI certified scuba diving program for daily outings. The reefs and wrecks nearby are amazing, and the instructor Ben was beyond helpful. If you aren’t certified, you can take a 3 hour class right at the resort and you can do your first open water dive.
- SNUBA Diving: Do you want more freedom for diving, but don’t want to go all in with Scuba diving? Enter SNUBA diving! You go out in water that is still pretty shallow, but you have a 20 foot hose floating in an inflatable raft above regulating the oxygen. From this depth you can still see some very cool marine life and coral but without worrying about oxygen tanks and everything.
- Land Sports: There’s tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, lawn chess, basketball, shuffleboard, and more. Note that there are free tennis lessons available in the mornings, for both adults and children. They provide the racquets so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own.
- Water Sports: An impressive range of water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, windsurfing, and Hobie Cats. The resort also offers free lessons so you can try new activities whenever you want. Just go to the pier in the middle of the beach and the friendly staff gets you all sorted with your rentals.
- Water Park: The Pirates Island Waterpark keeps things fun without leaving the resort. It covers 45,000 square feet with waterslides, a lazy river, and splash zones that kids love. There are also smaller slides in the park, and over at the pool in the Treasure Beach Village for younger children. This is a huge bonus to be included for free! The park is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
- Night Club: Club Liquid is located right by the waterpark, and has a dance party for teens from 10:00 to 11:00 PM, then turns into an adults only club until 1:00 AM with premium drinks like Robert Mondavi and guest DJs.
- Game Lounge: Get your gaming on with Playstation and Xbox consoles. Challenge your friends and family to a host of different games. It’s open until 11:00 PM and is right by the waterpark.
- Train Ride: There is a choo choo train that makes its rounds between the different villages every 30 minutes. This is available only during the weekdays between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and is a great way to get around the property while having a fun time with the kids.
- Spa Time: The Red Lane Spa in the French Village is a full service spa offering everything from facials to massages. My wife and I loved the Scents Of Love couples massage with aroma therapy and the sound of the waves splashing in the background. We were relaxed for the rest of the day! Note that spa treatments are extra, but well worth it!
- Excursions: You can book any excursions you want right at the Island Routes desk in the front lobby. Whether you want a Catamaran cruise or an ATV adventure, anything goes! There are dozens of options to pick from if you want to step off the resort to discover more of Turks And Caicos.
- Cinema Theater: The new Treasure Beach Village has a Starfish Cinema Lounge to catch your favorite movies while snacking on tasty treats.
- Live Entertainment: Evenings bring entertainment all around the property. There’s live music, themed parties, beach parties, and Sesame Street shows for families. No matter the time of day, you can find something if you want. My favorite shows were the fire dancers and the steel pan reggae music.
- Fitness Centers: The fitness center is open 24 hours, offering group classes and modern equipment. I went to the Key West gym and it is pretty quiet because, as it turns out, not a lot of people work out on vacation. But the facility is super nice.
Restaurants & Bars
There are 26 specialty restaurants and 13 bars throughout Beaches Turks & Caicos offering tasty dishes and tropical cocktails from all over the world. Each restaurant has its own ambiance so you won’t get tired of them, and I’ve been here three times! As far as all-inclusive resorts go, I think the food here is consistently top notch.
I recommend making dinner reservations for Kimonos when you check in to ensure you get the dates you want. This is a Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant with limited seating, but it was my favorite dinner restaurant here! The only other restaurant that requires reservations is Butch’s Chop house, which is also highly recommended.
Note that there are some restaurants that require evening attire for the dresscode at dinner service, which simply means you need to wear slacks with a nice shirt and shoes. These include Butch’s, Le Petit Chateau, Sky, and Neptunes.
Lastly, there are a handful of restaurants that have a 12 years or older age requirement. This can be nice if you are on a date night with your partner. These restaurants are Sapodilla’s, Le Petit Chateau, and Sky.
That said, my favorite restaurant here is Sky because it is a rooftop balcony that overlooks the beautiful Caribbean Sea below. I highly recommend the pan seared mahi mahi. They also have breakfast here which is a great way to start the day.
The best restaurant for kids was Bobby Dee’s Diner, which is right by the waterpark, so it’s perfect for a break from the water activities. They have great burgers in a fun retro atmosphere. Also do not miss the frozen yogurt shop, Yoyo’s, where you can create whatever fro-yo you want with all the toppings!
For late night drinks, The Cricketer’s Pub is open until 2:00 AM, which is the latest option of all the bars. They also have a fantastic late night menu with tasty pub food like Cottage Pie or Fish & Chips.
You will get a guide when you check-in that has all the restaurants with their locations and hours. I recommended hanging on to this because we looked at it all the time when deciding where to eat and make reservations. If you have any food allergies or restrictions, just let the concierge or restaurant know ahead of time, they are very good at accommodating them.
Expert Tip: If you want a romantic experience with your partner, book a private candlelight dinner on the beach. You can drop your kids off at the day care if needed! It’s a four course meal served on a formal table setting with a personal butler for only $199 per couple.
Where It's Located
Beaches Turks And Caicos is nestled along the northwest coast of the Providenciales in the exclusive Grace Bay. This is where other luxury resorts like the Ritz Carlton are located as well. The resort is just about 15 minutes by car from Providenciales International Airport (PLS).
Airport transfers are always included regardless of which room category you book. The only difference is that with Butler Elite Level Suites you will get a private transfer vs a shuttle transfer for other room categories. Just make sure to provide your flight itinerary beforehand if you didn’t book your flights directly through Sandals.
Since Turks And Caicos is one of the northernmost islands in the Caribbean, flight times from the United States are relatively short. This makes it great for quick vacations or if you’re traveling with kids. For example, flights out of Miami to Providenciales International Airport are only about 2 hours long. The only potential downside is that flights can be a little more expensive than to places like Montego Bay, Jamaica or Nassau, Bahamas. You just need to monitor the flights to make sure you get the best deals!
