Sandals Resorts With Golf Courses In The Caribbean
By Erik Ritland | Updated on December 10, 2025
Paging all golf enthusiasts, this article is for you! Sandals Resorts offers complimentary golf greens fees and transfers for 6 of their resort locations in Jamaica and Saint Lucia. There are 2 golf courses servicing those resorts, one of which is located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and the other in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.
In this guide, I’ll not only cover the all-inclusive Sandals golf resorts that have greens fees included, but I’ll also provide some golf options at the locations that do not include them for free.
This way you’ll have several options to choose from if golf is up on your priority list for your Caribbean getaway! Pair that with the phenomenal ocean views and tropical surroundings of luxury courses and you’ll feel like you’re in golf paradise.
Jamaica Golf Resorts
Sandals offers free greens fees and transfers to the Upton Estate Golf & Country Club for 3 of their resort locations in Jamaica, including Sandals Ochi, Sandals Dunn’s River, and Sandals Royal Plantation. Although Sandals has 7 locations in Jamaica, the other resorts require you to arrange your own transfers to the golf course because they’re further away.
The Upton Estate Golf Club is widely recognized as one of the best courses in Jamaica. Set in the rolling hills of Ocho Rios, you get unbeatable views of the lush mountains and Caribbean Sea. I have played at several courses in Jamaica, and the fairways and greens at Upton Estate are the best maintained out of all of them.
It features an 18 hole, par 72, course that plays over 6,400 yards with 3 sets of tees. There’s also a nice practice range and putting green by the clubhouse to warm-up. I was also impressed with the pro shop. If you forget something, they have a solid selection to choose from, in addition to the club and shoe rentals.
After working up an appetite, there’s a nice restaurant at the clubhouse or you can grab a bite at the food shack on hole 10. They serve fantastic jerk chicken that I highly recommend!
What To Expect With Sandals Golf In Jamaica:
- Greens fees and transfers to the course are included. Normally 18 holes are $100 per person, but it’s free if you stay at Sandals.
- Carts are mandatory and cost $55 for 18 holes. You can split a cart, but this cost is not included.
- A shared caddy is only $25 per person for 18 holes if you want one. Note caddies do accept tips as they are not employees of Sandals.
- Club rental is $75 for Titleist clubs for 18 holes, and they include a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 balls too.
- Shoe rental is $20 for pretty solid Footjoy shoes.
- Make your booking right on the Chrongolf website for whichever tee times you want.
- The full service clubhouse has a pro shop, club storage, restaurant, and changing rooms.
- Complimentary golf lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday every week.
- Transfer times are only 15 minutes from Sandals Ochi and Royal Plantation, and 25 minutes from Dunn’s River.
Saint Lucia Golf Resorts
Sandals provides free transfers and greens fees for all 3 resorts located in Saint Lucia, including Sandals La Toc, Grande St. Lucian, and Halcyon Beach. The Cap Estate Golf & Country Club is an absolutely stunning Greg Norman designed 18 hole course situated in the rolling hills of Gross-Islet.
I really enjoyed this course. The fairways are wide and forgiving. There are beautiful ponds scattered throughout that also make it challenging. The par 71 course stretches nearly 7,000 yards with three sets of tees. You can also practice at the driving range and chipping greens to warm up.
Bookings are available online ahead of time, or simply take the shuttle from the resort at the scheduled times. Note that if you book a tee time outside of the scheduled shuttles, you will need to arrange for your own transfer to the course. The shuttles leave twice a day, once in the morning around 7:00 AM and again at around 11:30 AM.
Note that Sandals Regency La Toc used to have a small 9 hole course right on the property, but that is no longer there. So you would need to go to the Cap Estate Golf Club if you’re staying at La Toc as well.
What To Expect With Sandals Golf In St. Lucia:
- Transfers and greens fees are included for guests staying at all Sandals St. Lucia resort locations.
- Carts are mandatory and cost $50 for up to 18 holes. This is not included so you will have to pay once you arrive at the course. You can share a cart with one other person.
- Club rentals for left and right handed golfers are available for $75. They offer Titleist clubs and also include a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 balls.
- Footjoy shoe rental is only $20.
- Transfer times are 5 minutes from Sandals Grande St. Lucian, 25 minutes from Sandals Halcyon Beach, and 40 minutes from Sandals Regency La Toc.
- The dress code is golf attire with a collared shirt and no sandals.
Curacao Golf Resorts
Sandals Royal Curacao sits adjacent to the Old Quarry Golf Course, an 18-hole course designed by Pete Dye. The greens fees are not included at this location, but the course is literally a 5 minute walk from the resort. In fact, the resort property was originally part of the golf course. You can even have Sandals wedding ceremonies on the golf course.
The greens fee for 18 holes is $205 and $130 for 9 holes. You will also need to rent a cart which is $30 for 18 holes and $20 for 9 holes. If you need to rent clubs and shoes, it’s no problem. They have nice Titleist clubs and Vokey wedges with all sorts of options.
This course flows right along the Caribbean coastline and is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend it if you have a few hours free at the Sandals Royal Curacao.
Barbados Golf Resorts
Both Sandals Resort locations in Barbados offer a golf package that is only $138 for 18 holes and a cart rental at the scenic Barbados Golf Club. If you are staying at either the Sandals Royal Barbados or Sandals Barbados, you can book this package right at the Island Routes travel desk in the main lobby or ahead of time on the Sandals website. The course is just a 10 minute drive from the resorts. If you need to rent clubs, it is $25 for 18 holes.
The par 72 links style course stretches for 6,805 yards, and features wide fairways, unique water features, and mature trees that make the course a golf lover’s haven. If you want to golf more than one round, there are packages for multiple or unlimited rounds.
What’s Included With The Golf Package
- Free greens fees for unlimited rounds at Sandals Resorts in Jamaica and St. Lucia.
- Complimentary transfers to and from the golf course.
- Access to practice facilities like driving range and putting green.
- Secure golf club storage.
- Free weekly golf pro clinics on Tuesdays and Wednesday.
What’s Not Included In The Golf Package
- Golf carts are not included but they are required. They cost about $50 for 18 holes and can be shared with one other person.
- Club rentals are available with stiff and regular flex, and for right and left handed golfers. The rentals are $75 for 18 holes.
- Shoe rentals are only $20 if needed.
- Caddies are $25 for 18 holes. This is only if you want one, but they are not Sandals employees, so tipping is appreciated.

- Food and drinks at the club are extra. Pro-tip: throw some drinks from the resort in your bag before you head out so you don’t need to buy as many at the course.
